| The aim of this thesis is to determine the mediating role of organizational exclusion in the relationship between organizational silence and organizational cynicism. In this research which utilized quantitative survey methods, study group consists of 510 people working in 7 municipalites located in Bilecik central district and all other districts of Bilecik. The data of the study were collected from "Organisational Exclusion Scale" developed by Scott (2007) adapted to Turkish with Karabey (2014), "Organisational Cynicism Scale" developed by Branders et al (1999) adapted to Turkish with Karacaoglu and Ince (2012) and "Organizational Silence Scale" developed by Van Dyne et al (2003) adapted to Turkish with Sehitoglu and Zehir (2010). The quantitative data used for data analysis has been evaluated with SPSS 21.0 and LISREL 8.51 software packages. According to research findings, it has been found that perception of organizational exclusion and tendency of organizational cynicism were low; perception of organizational silence was moderate. In terms of organizational silence aspects, it has been concluded that the highest average was silence for organizational benefit and the lowest average was the acquiescent silence. On the basis of organizational cynicism aspects, it has been found that the highest average was cognitive cynicism and the lowest average was emotional cynicism. When the relationships among the research variables were evaluated, it has been concluded that organizational silence is positively correlated to organizational exclusion and organizational cynicism. In addition, it has been deducted that there was a positive correlation between the perception of organizational exclusion and organizational cynicism. When the effects among the variables were examined, as organizational silence increases, organizational cynicism and organizational exclusion increase in a positive way with low strength. In addition, organizational exclusion affects organizational cynicism positively with moderate strength and in a statistically significant way. When the findings of the research regarding the mediating role of organisational exclusion in organisational silence and organisational cynicism relation were examined, It has been concluded that organizational exclusion has a mediating role between organizational silence and organisational cynicism. |
