Qısa məlumat

Disaster risk reduction is a high prominence on recent agenda of the policy makers around the world. Policy implementation measures and development plans to reduce the disaster risk caused due to climate change consider evaluating endpoints generated through knowledge, education, experiences on disaster as well as other forms of vulnerabilities. The main purpose of this study is to promote community in order to make them aware about the factors of disaster risk and associated loss and damages. In addition, to engage them in disaster risk reduction initiative. The primary data were collected through questionnaire survey on 130 respondents from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) community in Bangi, Malaysia. To analyze and draw the inferences, this study used the descriptive statistics, and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). The study found that several knowledge, education and practices of disaster risk factors have positive significant influences on reduction of the disaster risk.
