Crucial role of the pipeline transportation in the supply of hydrocarbons to the Russian enterprises, CIS and foreign countries is evident and it is the subject of scientific and economic research. In article the system of pipeline transport, priorities of pipeline construction, basic trends in development of research efforts of Ufa State Petroleum Technological University are considered.
