The effects of tellurium impurities and heat treatment on the anisotropy of electrical and thermal properties of Bi0.85Sb0.15 solid solution in the ∼77 ÷ 300 K and magnetic field strength up to ∼74 × 104 A/m are investigated. The corresponding explanations of the observed results are given. in extruded samples of Bi0.85Sb0.15 with 0.001 at.% tellurium, the absolute values of the Seebeck coefficient α in the perpendicular direction of the extrusion axis are more sensitive to the magnetic field than in the parallel direction, and the anisotropy of the (Δα) at a magnetic field strength of H = 42 × 104 A/m reaches the value Δα = 80 µV/K at ∼77 K, which makes this composition promising for creating anisotropic thermoelements.
