The mechanism of electrical conductivity in the compounds YbCrS 3, YbCr3S6, Yb3CrS5, Yb9CrS13 and Yb7Cr2S11 was studied in the temperature range from 300 K to 500K. Activation energy values were determined from the Igσ =f(I/T) dependences. Behavior of the electrical conductivity and composition of the compounds were found to have good correlation. On the basis of the study results, the energy band diagram for the investigated compounds is presented in the paper.
