Qısa məlumat

Environmental concerns, economic benefits and improved quality of life have increased the need for more sustainable cities and green technologies since the end of the twentieth century. The aim of this article is to comprehensively map Scopus-listed research works on sustainable cities and green technologies published between 1991 and 2024 (March 22). The methodology involved a bibliometric analysis of the 1,864 documents related to the thematic intersection of sustainable cities and green technologies using VOSviewer software. The results, based on the co-occurrence and co-authorship of titles, abstracts and keywords, show a network of clusters related to hot topics (e.g., sustainable development, urban areas, green buildings, energy efficiency) published mainly by scholars from China, the United States, Italy and India. The publications are mainly journal articles and conference papers in English. The bibliographic coupling and co-citation analysis revealed the leading authors such as Wang X., Wang Y., and Liu Y., and the journals (e.g., Journal of Cleaner Production, Sustainability, Energy Policy, Renewable and Sustainable Energy, etc.). The results are of great interest to scholars, state agencies and firms actively engaged in sustainable urban planning.
