For harmful contaminants to be effectively treated, a reliable and effective photo catalyst must be developed. The spherical-like Cr doped CdS nanocomposites, which are intended for the efficient photo degradation of methylene blue dye, were embellished in this study. XRD, SEM, FT-IR and TEM were used to analyze the synthesized particles to comprehend their structural and morphological properties. The outcomes demonstrated that adding chromium to the CdS lattice increases photocatalytic oxidation/reduction. By fabricating composite materials, a further increase in the photocatalytic rate was observed. The antibacterial behavior of the synthesized nanocomposite was studied. CdS with 70 % S-g-C3N4 assisted 5 % Cr doped CdS (5 % Cr–CdS@SCN) showed efficient pho-catalytic degradation and antibacterial potential. The synthesized nanocomposites were also assessed for antioxidant activity, and fascinatingly, they showed significant antioxidant potential of (IC50 value = 76.5 ± 0.78 μM) compared with the standard Butylated hydroxy anisole. The synthesized nanocomposites showed excellent urease inhibition (IC50 value = 67.4 ± 0.46 μM). The proposed study collectively enhances photodegradation and biomedical properties of the synthesized sample.
