The development of agriculture has been always one of the priority field in our Republic. "Strategic Road Map", prepared on the basis of President Ilham Aliyev's decree for the development of agriculture, is a new stage in the development of this area. Taking into consideration the favorable conditions for the development of the agrarian sector as a result of increased investment in this area, expansion of agricultural and food products will contribute to the domestic demand fulfillment of food products and the export strengthening. From this rational the main aim of this paper is to explore opportunities to increase production of agricultural products, food security and strengthening of export potential. This was done by the analysis of current state of agricultural production and export potential of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
