Expert system, a branch of artificial intelligence which aids decision-making, is mostly employed in the medical field for making judgments’ about the identification and evaluation of diseases based on recognized symptoms. The utilization of ES in engineering benefits engineers in a variety of settings and can even take over the role of human intervention in system control. When it comes to the development and examination of computer systems, ES is substantially employed in the field of computer sciences to identify faults and errors in systems. Knowing how to identify the precise issue troubling the patient is one of the most crucial aspects of the process resulting to the discovery of a sickness. Due to the similarity between the hallmarks of an emerging virus and those of pre-existing diseases, pathologists have historically struggled to come up with a quick fix when a new virus epidemic like Ebola, Malaria, Typhoid fever, Corona virus, etc. occurs. This research contributes to the creation of an expert system for the detection of the Ebola virus and helps to dispel uncertainty surrounding its detection. A VP-Expert programmer that bases itself on inquiries, rules, and evidence must be put into place in order to get to the point where expert systems can be used to make decisions. The proposed system will help decrease reliance on doctors and save time for both the doctors and patients and in return it will ease the decision making process. The developed method may be used effectively for diagnosing Ebola where the quantity of patients is rising every day.
