One of problems, which arouse interest in the scientifi c sphere is the problem of terms. From this point of view defi nitive terms are not an exception in the linguistics. The author investigates the problem of defi nitive terms in Azerbaijani linguistics and elucidates their features.

Одним из вопросов, представляющих интерес для науки, является вопрос о терминах. С этой точки зрения дефинитивные термины в лингвистике не являются исключением. В статье рассматривается вопрос дефинитивных терминов в азербайджанской лингвистике и предприняты попытки разъяснения их особенностей.
