Theoretical analysis on determination of displacements function of the hub's external contour points and microgeometry of friction surface that ensures uniform wear is performed. The analysis is based on the rough friction surface model. The problem is to decrease wear at that place where it is important. The closed system of algebraic equations that permits to obtain the solution of design optimization of friction pair depending on its mechanical properties is constructed. The found function of displacements of the hub's external contour points and microgeometry of the friction surface ensure increase of wear resistance of friction pair elements.
