Qısa məlumat

Almost everyone is at least mildly interested in the meaning
and origin of the place names and the way in which they were applied. The
main types of place name formations in English and Azerbaijani are
topographical, habitative and folk or tribal names. Among them folk or
tribal names form the smallest and topographical form the largest group of
place names. Although English and Azerbaijani place names have
apparently changed through the many centuries of their existence, they may
still convey something of their original form and meaning.
