This article examines the migration aspirations of Ukrainian and Turkish citizens using the empirical data of the EUMAGINE project It is focused on filling in the gaps and illustrating the findings of the author on migration in the so-called torn countries. The influence of socio-demographic, socio-cultural, structural and economic factors on migratory mood is revealed. Moreover, the author also conducted a cross-national comparison for obtaining more reliable results.
