The favorable natural and geographical position of Azerbaijan has led to the settlement of many tribes, tribes and peoples in different stages of history. Each of the tribes that flowed into this territory, which plays the role of a bridge between the West and the East, has played a unique role in the ethnic formation of the modern Azerbaijani people.
Today, in Azerbaijan, along with the Azerbaijani Turks, who constitute the vast majority of the population, a number of ethnic groups live, such as the Tats, Mountain Jews, Udis, Sakhurs, Khinaligs, Budugs, Grizs, and Ingiloys.
These ethnic groups are essentially the Albanian tribes of Azerbaijan, the successors of the ancient Albanian tribes such as the Udis, Gels, Hars, and Gats.
The article examines the ethnic history and ethnogenetic relations of these ancient Albanian tribes.
Əlve-rişli təbii-coğrafi mövqeyi Azərbaycanda tarixin müxtəlif mərhələlərində
bir çox qəbilə, tayfa və xalqların məskunlaşmasına səbəb olmuşdur. Qərb-
lə şərq arasınada bir körpü rolu oynayan bu əraziyə axışan tayfaların hər biri
müasir Azərbaycan xalqının etnik təşəkkülündə özünəməxsus rol oynamışdır.
Bu gün Azərbaycanda əhalinin böyük əksəriyyətini təşkil edən Azərbay-
can türkləri ilə yanaşı tatlar, dağ yəhudiləri, udilər, saxurlar, xınalıqlar, buduq-
lar, qrızlar, ingiloylar kimi bir sıra etnoslar yaşamaqdadır.
Bu etnoslar kök etibarilə Azərbaycanın alban mənşəli tayfaları olaraq
udi, qel, hər, qat kimi qədim alban tayfalarının varisləridir.
Məqalədə bu qədim alban tayfalarının etnk tarixinvə etnogenetik əlaqələri araşdırılmışdır.
