Nowadays, electrical energy is essential energy in many cities to meet electrical demand at various sections of the energy infrastructure. Hence, electrification to consumers is a necessary and important issue in each area of countries. In this paper, optimal design and sizing of energy resources in a microgrid based on economic and technical objective function is proposed. The proposed optimal design is implemented as off-grid with energy resources like photovoltaic (PV) system, diesel generator (DG), and battery energy storage. Also, load flow strategy based energy management is used for optimal installation and sizing of energy resources in supply demand. The objective functions for design and sizing energy resources include life cycle cost and reliability index. Overall, the study contributes to the advancement of microgrid planning and optimization by offering an analysis of energy resource sizing and allocation. Comparative tests confirm the algorithm’s effectiveness in achieving outstanding results. The results indicate that the suggested approach effectively optimises resource distribution.
