The presented theoretical study raises the question of the correlation of the "psychological price" and values during the period of intensive digitalization of professional activity. The basis for raising such a question is the contradiction between the expec-tation of improving the quality of communication in the digital environment due to the introduction of computer-mediated communication and the existing facts of the increase in mental transfor-mations of communicative, cognitive, motiva-tional spheres of personality, the intensification of various syndromes in the form of professional burnout, decreased cognition, metacognitive-ness, regularity. The rhythm of the transmission of "digital" information, sometimes presented as innovation, often contradicts the values and ethi-cal norms of specialists in some socionomic spe-cialties. Psychology discusses the problem of the formation of an "expanded personality" and sev-eral similar concepts, all of these definitions sug-gest that a person acquires new properties that go beyond his "natural" capabilities. In our opinion, the discourse on the "psychological cost" of such "completion" is not actively conducted in psycho-logical science. Thus, the article puts forward the key problem of value determinants as the basis for the stability and integrity of personality under the influence of digital environments.
