In the transition to the post-industrial economic system and the process of globalization of economic life, the phenomenon of economic growth undergoes significant changes. Increasingly, qualitative factors, not quantitative indicators of economic growth, are of decisive importance. They are the main cause of national development and national competitiveness in the globalized world. Estimates of this growth are ambiguous. Economists see evidence of the effectiveness of the liberal reform policy, others mainly note the energy-raw material, reserve replenishment of growth and conclude that such growth in the future not only contributes to the economic development of the country, but also strengthens the backwardness of its technical-economic structure. During the discussions, the question of the quality of economic growth in modern Azerbaijan stands out. Putting the issue of the quality of growth into scientific discussion is multifaceted.
Postindustrial iqtisadi sistemə keçid və iqtisadi həyatın qloballaşması prosesi şəraitində iqtisadi artım fenomeni mühüm dəyişikliklərə məruz qalır. Getdikcə iqtisadi artımın kəmiyyət göstəriciləri deyil, keyfiyyət amilləri həlledici olur. Onlar qloballaşan dünyada milli inkişafın və milli rəqabət qabiliyyətinin əsas səbəbidir.
