Qısa məlumat

In this study, the flow characteristics around the blunt nose and conical stern models with a single and tandem arrangements were examined using the Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) method. Experiments were carried out under uniform flow conditions at U=100 mm/s and corresponding Reynolds number Re=2x104 based on the model geometry length (L). The characteristic length-diameter ratio of the model used in the experiments is L/D=5. The dimensionless space ratio between the models in tandem arrangement is arranged as G/L=0.3 in which G is the space between the two models. In comparisons, instantaneous velocity vector fields (V) and vorticity contours (wL/U∞) along with the time-averaged patterns of velocity vector fields , streamline topologies , streamwise velocity fluctuations contours , cross-streamwise velocity fluctuations contours , and vorticity contours were investigated. The results obtained have been presented with images and discussed in detail.
