As a developing country, Azerbaijan is moving towards rebuilding its economy in line with global challenges. The establishment of a modern economy requires the preference for innovative values, the study of the processes taking place in the world in this direction, and the consideration of opportunities for their application. The main feature that distinguishes our time from the previous ones is that the period of the revolutionary revolution in information technology is considered to be a process of digitalization. It is as if all the countries of the world are fighting to attract and develop modern technologies in the economy. The study of opportunities and prospects for the impact of innovative development on the formation of the digital economy is relevant in terms of increasing the competitiveness of our economy.
Azərbaycan inkişaf etməkdə olan dövlət olaraq qlobal çağırışlara uyğun iqtisadiyyatın yenidən qurulması istiqamətində addımlamaqdadır. Müasir iqtisadiyyatın qurulması isə innovativ dəyərlərə üstünlük verilməsini, bu istiqamətdə dünyada gedən proseslərin öyrənilməsini, tətbiqi imkanlarının nəzərdən keçirilməsini tələb edir. Yaşadığımız dövrü əvvəlki dövrlərdən fərqləndirən əsas xüsusiyyət informasiya texnologiyasında baş verən inqilabi çevriliş dövrü rəqəmsallaşma prosesi olaraq qiymətləndirilir. Bütün dünya ölkələri iqtisadiyyatda müasir texnologiyaları cəlb etmək və inkişaf etdirmək uğrunda sanki savaşırlar. İnnovasiyalı inkişafın rəqəmsal iqtisadiyyatın formalaşmasına təsiri imkanları və perspektivlərinin öyrənilməsi ölkəmizin iqtisadiyyatının rəqabət qabiliyyətinin yüksəldilməsi baxımından aktuallıq kəsb edir.
