This
study examines the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on education,
particularly how it necessitates changes within the system to adapt to new
technological realities. AI's rapid development is influencing various
industries, making it essential for educational systems to evolve by developing
specializations that address different aspects of AI. These new offerings aim
to equip the next generation with relevant and modern fields of study. Focusing
on higher education in Azerbaijan, this work compares its integration of
AI-related specializations with those in European countries and the United
States. As Azerbaijani educational institutions transition from Soviet-era
methodologies to modern strategies influenced by the Bologna Process, the study
underscores the need for policymakers to incorporate these new specializations
into curricula to keep pace with technological advancements.
