Qısa məlumat

The main purpose of the article is to study cognitive semantics. According to a number of many modern scientists, subsequently the term of cognitive linguistics is the concept of the term. In the most general form, under the concept, the discovery of a system of ideas about an object or phenomenon that is characteristic of a given culture. Thus, the concepts cover a special cultural, affecting the consciousness of the population of the people. Therefore, concepts cannot be repeated from language to language, from people to people. However, in the use of this term and in its understanding, in our opinion, there is confusion. Perhaps this confusion is due to the fact that the scientific apparatus of cognitive linguistics has not yet developed. However, something else is also possible, for example, when old phenomena are called in a new way. According to many scientists, the concept is a mental phenomenon, but not a linguistic one. In the language, concepts are verbalized, i.e. are translated to the verbal level, find expression in the language. Words or any other units of the language are not equal to concepts, words and other units of the language, as well as texts, can only represent concepts with varying degrees of accuracy.

T.V.Matveeva points out that the concept is “a fact of a way of life, social consciousness, theory, expressed in a linguistic form; a unit of human knowledge about the world behind the semantics of a linguistic sign. When writing the article, the method of comparative analysis was used. Relevance of application: the material can be used at lectures and seminars in higher educational institutions.
