The report on the topic “The Place of the Amaras Monastery in the History of Azerbaijani Christianity” is dedicated to the history of the Amaras Monastery, which is located in the Khojavend district of the Karabakh region, and was one of the first Christian temples in Albania and one of the most important religious and cultural centers of Caucasian Albania. The report emphasized the importance of the Amaras Monastery not only in religious terms, but also in cultural and spiritual terms for the Azerbaijani people, and that the Amaras Monastery and the rich Albanian heritage in general are an integral part not only of Azerbaijani history, but also of universal culture. The report extensively discusses the complete destruction of this monument during the 30-year occupation of Armenia, its distorted and illegal attribution to the Armenian Apostolic Church, and its false presentation to the world community.
