ABSTRACT The ability to conduct scientific research becomes important for engineers in the era of technological development. Often, only through scientific research can it be possible to consider specific production conditions and determine resources for efficient production. Measurement experiments are required at almost all stages of the product life cycle. The article discusses the significance of experimental research in conducting scientific investigations and solving practical problems, emphasizing that measurement experiments are an essential component of research. Measurements are inherently linked to experimentation. It is highlighted that measurement experiments are required at various stages of a product’s life cycle, as well as during control and testing processes. The process of testing products also aims to collect information about their properties. Testing in the production process is a more complex type of experiment. During testing, the quantitative or qualitative characteristics of the product’s properties are determined experimentally.
