It should be noted that the new realities emerging in the world economy today have increased the importance of alternative energy sources. In such a case, the development of processes related to alternative energy generation is becoming necessary in Azerbaijan. In recent years, very important reforms have been carried out in Azerbaijan regarding the development of alternative energy. At the same time, the new realities formed in the South Caucasus region in recent years have directly created the basis for the development of the use of alternative energy sources. As a result of this, Azerbaijan is expected to become an exporter of alternative energy. In the research work, the modern state of alternative energy sources and its generation in Azerbaijan and the policy implemented by the state for the development of this sector were systemically and comprehensively analyzed. At the end of the research, the results and the proposals put forward by the authors in this direction were reflected.
