Abstract

In this paper, we proposed an approach based on interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy instruments to evaluate National Cyber Security Index (NCSI) that is one of main factors constituting national security. nterval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy techniques are suitable in this regard to solve this kind of Weighted Linear Combination (WLC) problems and simulate possible increment range in the overall index. Considering the fact that there is not a generalized way for computation of global indices, and Principal Component Analysis (PCA) is the main method, dealing with data uncertainty requires fuzzy logic and its extension-based approaches. The novelty of the current paper is that it takes into account the fuzzyness of crisp input data, and simulation of input data conveys the possible change extent, expressed as inteval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy numbers. The elaborated methodology in the given work can be a piece of help in the generalization of NCSI computating methodology and for the index control purposes.
