Abstract
Abstract: The Tl–Er–Te ternary system was studied in the Tl2Te–Tl2Te3–TlErTe2 composition region by the emf method and X-ray powder diffractions analysis. The partial thermodynamic functions of ErTe and Er in alloys were determined from the emf measurements. Using the constructed diagram of solid-phase equilibria, the potential-forming reactions responsible for the above partial molar quantities were determined, and the standard thermodynamic functions of formation and standard entropies of the Tl9ErTe6 and TlErTe2 compounds were calculated.
