Abstract

Present article is devoted to reaction of coumarin azo coupling with diazonium salts. The reaction of azo coupling 5.7-dihydroxy-4.8-dimethyl chromen-2-ona with diazonium salts of various structure and in various conditions: in alkaline and aqua-alcoholic medium (in the presence of sodium acetate) has been studied. The structures of synthesized azo compounds have been determined by means of nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, infrared and ultraviolet spectroscopy. The outputs and physicochemical characteristics of synthesized compounds have been defined.
