Air-jet filling insertion is the most used techniques in the textile industry. In this process the air flow provides the necessary propelling force to the yarn. Dynamic analysis of air flow in this process was studied experimentally in this work. In Part I we present the results of experimental measurements of pressure losses both in the tube-guided and in the profiled reed simulators. Copyright © 2002 by ASME.
