Abstract

This article addresses the issue of gender differences in labour motivation within public sector institutions in Israel. Labour motivation has been examined from various perspectives, and key factors contributing to these differences have been identified. The motivational structures of men and women working in different areas of the public sector were analysed using the 12-factor motivation theory developed by Sh. Ritchie and P. Martin. A statistical analysis of 756 participants revealed significant differences in motivational factors between male and female personnel.
