The article examines the problems and solutions to modernize the structure of the national economy in modern conditions. To this end, the issues of improving the modernization of the structure of the national economy, taking into account the global economic situation and expanding the activities of sectors of the economy characterized by the creation of competitive value-added have been studied more optimally. To this end, based on objective realities, the analysis of economic development processes considered the reconstruction of the refining sector, the formation of production capacity, increasing economic activity of the regions, development of production infrastructure, significant reduction and acceleration of the country's dependence on oil. In general, the article focuses on the issues of modernization as a priority of economic development. The article prepared recommendations on the problems considered, made suggestions and formed scientific-practical views, gave the author's position on the problems of modernization of the structure of the national economy.
