The present paper is aimed at analysing the situation on labour market in West Pomeranian voivodship in the context of migration. It presents the main results of empirical research conducted by the author as part of the project entitled "Foreign labour migration 2010". At first, the methodology of the research will be described paying attention to particular groups of respondents. Then, the author will analyse reasons and motives inspiring people to migrate and find employment abroad. As far as conclusions are concerned, major problems encountered by West Pomeranian labour market will be identified. These include, among other things, limited capability to protect and create competitive jobs, both in terms of development and earnings. © Yurriiy Biillan, 2012.
