Abstract

Green Cloud Computing, a burgeoning frontier at the intersection of sustainability and technology, has become a focal point in the pursuit of environmentally conscious information technology (IT) solutions. This study embarks on a comprehensive exploration of the intricate dynamics within this domain, particularly emphasising the interplay between Energy Efficiency and the Adoption of Green Practices. Employing a mixed-methods approach, the study integrates quantitative analyses, including regression studies, with qualitative insights derived from thematic analysis. The survey data and cloud provider data serve as the foundation for illuminating discussions, offering a nuanced understanding of participants’ perspectives. The research unearths a thought-provoking negative correlation between Energy Efficiency and Adoption of Green Practices scores and delves into the contextual richness of participants’ narratives. As a culmination, this study contributes to the evolving narrative of Green Cloud Computing, offering a holistic portrait of participants’ viewpoints and paving the way for continued exploration in sustainable technology.
