Abstract

Complexation of some metals with 3-(4-sulfophenylazo)pentadione-2,4 in aqueous solution was studied using potentiometry and conductimetry. The standard thermodynamic functions of complexation were determined, which vary in the following sequences: -ΔG0, Fe > Cu > UO2 > Ni > Co > Zn > Cd > Mn > Mg > Ca; -ΔH0, Fe > Cu > UO2 > Ni > Co > Zn > Cd > Mn > Mg > Ca; Δ0, Ca > Mg > Zn > Mn > Co > Cd > Ni > UO2 > Cu > Fe.
