The historical and economic theories of Azerbaijan’s economy development at different stages are explored in the article. The views of scientists and scholars on the directions of economic policy of different times are analyzed. The past historical events and changes in the social life of Azerbaijan due to them are summarized. Conceptual approaches to the development of Azerbaijan’s economy for the future are given then.
