Abstract

The aim of the present review is to summarize the recent advances in the direct CH difluoromethyl(chalcogen)ation of terminal alkynes. Hopefully, it can provide practical guidance for the readers who are interested in fluoroalkylation reactions. For simplicity and clarity, the review is divided into three sections: (i) difluoromethylation reactions; (ii) difluoromethylthiolation reactions; and (iii) difluoromethylselenolation reactions. © 2025, Iranian Chemical Science and Technologies Association.
