Abstract

Thermoelectric materials on the base of p-type Bi0.5Sb1.5Te3 and n-type Bi2Te2.7Se0.3 solid solutions are widely used for fabricating thermoelectrical transducers. In this study, an experimental investigation of thermoelement efficiency of real thermoelement on p, branches for different 1 and r, on length 1 of branches at different p and r, and on r of commutation contacts at different p and 1 is conducted. It is shown that r of contacts is directly proportional to branches p. Thus, the ratio r/p remains unchanged when p is changed. The transitional contact resistance r is changed under the transition from an alloy to another, and it leads to the shifting of 1k value.
