Abstract
Development of renewable energy technologies and creation of the necessary infrastructure are topical issues for environmental protection. The article gives an overview of the use and overall potential of renewable energy resources in Azerbaijan. Wind, solar, geothermal energy sources are more promising for the country. Different countries show an increase in total share and investment in the energy sector. Announced the role of such energy in the protection of the environment and necessary actions for stimulating new energy technologies.
