The book was compiled on the basis of the materials of the International Conference held at the London School of Oriental and African Studies. It collected articles by renowned world and Azerbaijani historians on the history of confessions in the Caucasus.
The articles are grouped into the sections “Ancient confessions: Zoroastrianism and Judaism”, “Christianity in the Caucasus”, “Islam in the Caucasus”, “Confessions in the Caucasus at the turn of the 19th-20th centuries”, “General problems of religion”.
