Basing on the regression analysis the system of factors that determine the emigration from Ukraine is modelled. To macro-and microeconomic factors (as used in most of similar studies) the authors add the institutional and socio-cultural ones. The dynamics of migration factors is analized in two periods: 1992-2002 and 2003-2013. Significant differences in the factors determining external migration within these two periods is detected.
