The photoluminescence, photocurrent relaxation, and lux-ampere characteristics of photoconductivity in FeGaInS4 single crystals during excitation by the second-harmonic radiation of a pulsed YAG:Nd3+ laser was investigated experimentally. It was shown that the photoluminescence band may be due to recombination of bands on an impurity or to recombination of donor–acceptor pairs. The decrease of lifetime during excitation is due to the high concentration of nonequilibrium charge carriers generated by the high-power laser radiation. The lux-ampere characteristics of photoconductivity are described.
