Abstract

The character of the chemical interaction in the Er2Sn 3Se9-SnSe system is studied using physicochemical methods. A phase diagram is designed, which is a quasi-binary section through the Er-Sn-Se ternary system. Terminal solid solutions are found to exist on the basis of Er2Sn3Se9 (extending to 5 mol % SnSe) and SnSe (extending to 1.5 mol % Er2Sn3Se9).
