After the political and economic transformations in Poland, the functioning of the labor marked has changed. People redundant in agriculture experience difficulties in getting non-agricultural jobs. This entails a problem that can be described in general as the rural area problem. It mainly applies to the small acreage, semi-subsistence farms.
