Oil palm is an important earning sector in Malaysia. Since the 1960s, Federal Land Development Authority (FELDA) is to promote environmental stewardship in line with the visions of tenth Malaysian’s Plan that ensure a balance between development needs and environment quality. However, smallholders are associated with biodiversity loss reports, bureaucratic problems and lack of awareness of sustainability. This study aims to measure mainly the environmental awareness and practices amongst the smallholders. The data has been collected through questionnaire survey via interviews on 252 smallholders from FELDA, Pahang State in Malaysia and this study used the descriptive statistics and structural equation modeling (SEM). The result indicates that most of the smallholders have positive knowledge and consciousness towards environmental sustainability.
