Abstract

In this study, Hepatitis B diagnosis is presented using ESPLAN based on research carried out in Near East Hospital. Computer programming plays an important role in people’s lives for diagnosing diseases and allows saving time and money. According to these evaluations, Hepatitis B diagnostic programming was built on medicine field using the ESPLAN fuzzy expert system, and this programming helps people to improve their health systems. For the diagnosis of Hepatitis B, genetics, duration, blood test, HBV level in DNA, and physical syndromes were examined. According to the rules, the patient decides the risk related to his health. One of the key points of these rules concerns people who have had symptoms for more than a year. Another important consideration of these rules is related to having a connection with Hepatitis B patients, which increases the risk of having Hepatitis B in the future. Additionally, after a diagnosis of Hepatitis B and a positive blood test, a liver biopsy is performed to understand the result of the diagnosis. The shell of the expert system the IF-THEN guidelines that were gleaned through interviews were put into action using ESPLAN. Additionally, these rules are chosen for the system’s solution. Correct diagnosis of diseases using the designed program provides high confidence and shows the success of the system.
