Abstract

The issue of sustainability is one of the most pressing social and economic challenges of our time, and it is increasingly shaping the thinking and behaviour of young generations. This research aims to examine aspects of sustainability in a generation-specific way, with a particular focus on Generation Z, which is characterised by high levels of awareness, digital literacy and social responsibility. The research seeks to answer the question of Generation Z's perceptions of sustainability, how they can contribute to sustainable economic growth and their attitudes towards sustainable development. The literature review will describe Generation Z's attitudes towards sustainability, their consumption habits and their thoughts on technological developments and innovative solutions to make the future more sustainable. The results show that Generation Z can be an active player in shaping a sustainable future and offer solutions to find a balance between sustainability and economic growth.
