The development of communicative competence is the main and leading goal of teaching foreign languages. Oral communication, the role of which has become especially significant at present, is impossible without well-developed speaking skills. For competent foreign language communication, it is necessary to know the grammar rules, constantly expand your vocabulary, have knowledge of the phonetic features of the language, an idea of the traditions and culture of the language being studied and, of course, develop speaking skills. According to the state standard for teaching foreign languages for the basic level, for successful communication, a student must learn to conduct a dialogue using evaluative judgments in situations of formal and informal communication, talk about himself, his plans; participate in the discussion of problems related to a read/listened to foreign language text, observing the rules of speech etiquette; talk about his environment, reason within the framework of the studied topics and problems; be able to present a socio-cultural portrait of his country and the country/countries of the studied language.
