The use of ampelographical descriptors developed by the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV) during the study, evaluation and digital description of grapevine genotypes is shown in this article. The study and analysis of morphological, biological, economically important and technological characteristics of the local and introduced grape varieties in the conditions of Apsheron and Calilabad Regions are carried out. The digital descriptions of characteristics and properties of genotypes is made by using ampelodescriptors as well as genotype`s promising. Studied grape varieties are similar in many characteristics and differ in many others. Azerbaijani grape varieties are wide distinguished by color, shape and size, flavor and aroma of the berries, ripening period, direction of use, processing and storage specifications, and other signs and characteristics.
