Qısa məlumat

A computer-aided temperature and pressure measurement technique has been built to study the thermal and pressure related processes during lost foam casting. The behavior of the gas pressure from the decomposed styrofoam pattern by-products inside both the mold and pattern during casting of ductile iron was investigated experimentally for coated and non-coated patterns. A transient history of temperature and pressure fluctuations is presented during the filling and freezing of the casting. The size of the pattern decomposition zone at the liquid metal/foam interface is estimated using the experimental data.
