The main aim of the article is to study the role of information technologies in the tourism sector. Information technology (IT) has brought about changes in the tourism sector, as in many other sectors, in recent years. These technologies play an important role in facilitating the organization of tourism, improving customer experience and increasing the efficiency of operations. It is very important to understand the impact of IT on the tourism sector, to monitor innovations in this field and to predict future developments. Result: This article explains how information technology plays an important role in the tourism sector and how these technologies are applied in tourism business, supported by various sources. References to sources strengthen the scientific basis of the text. Methods: analyzing method had been used while conducting the research. Application importance: the material can be used in seminars and lectures in higher education institutions.
