In the present paper we construct q-Szász-Mirakjan operators that preserve x2. The rate of global convergence is obtained in the frame of weighted spaces. Furthermore, we obtain a Voronovskaja type theorem for these operators. © 2011 Published by Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
